I have conceptualized an original literary theory called "urban text theory" that integrates urban theory, embodiment theory, and textual theory, thereby updating the paradigm of modern Japanese literature. Recently, my research has also focused on the relationship between nationalism and literature, as well as Japanese-language literature by Japanese immigrants.
