Grant for field research

The Graduate School of Economics offers “Grant for Field Research” to students who are highly motivated to pursue their research and for whom field research is recognized as indispensable for writing their thesis after they go through the required screening process.

【Amount of grant and expected number of recipients】

(1) Research grant for the doctoral degree program
① Target recipients: Doctoral students
②Amount: Up to 80% of the required expenses that the Graduate School approves within the scope of tuition for one term. (approximately 180,000 yen)
(2) Master’s degree program type A grant
① Target recipients: Master’s degree program students (recipients must be Japanese citizens) .
②Amount: Up to 80% of the required expenses that the Graduate School approves within the scope of tuition for one term. (approximately 180,000 yen)
(3) Master’s degree program type B grant
① Target recipients: Master’s degree program students (foreign students only)
②Amount: Up to 80% of the required expenses that the Graduate School approves within the scope of 60% of tuition for one term (approximately 110,000 yen).

<Note>For the calculation, the tuition refers to the amount based of the units for adult students and to the amount before tuition reduction for foreign students.
Grants will be offered to 2-3 students for each of the two terms.

Conference presentation grant

When the graduate students make presentations at conferences, the school offers 10,000 yen as a grant for conference presentation.
